Khaled Mahmoud

Khaled Mahmoud is an Egyptian dancer and teacher from Cairo who built a major part of his international career in the United Kingdom. His training encompasses Raqs Sharqi as well as Egyptian folkloric material. He became highly respected on the European workshop circuit for his musicality and culturally grounded teaching. In later years he stepped away from dance as his principal performing profession while continuing to share his knowledge through instruction. His career is particularly relevant to the growth of Egyptian-style Oriental dance education in Europe.
