Zeinat Olwi

Zeinat Olwi was one of the notable Egyptian dancers seen in films during the later Golden Era. She appeared in numerous productions where dance was integrated into the musical and dramatic structure of Egyptian cinema. Her style represented the increasingly polished stage aesthetic of the 1950s and 1960s. She gradually left professional dance and acting around the beginning of the 1970s. Surviving film sequences make her a valuable visual reference for understanding the movement, costuming and performance conventions of her generation.
